Announcement
Welcome! My January waiting time is around 4-6 weeks but please in touch if you would like to discuss timings for wedding rings.
****************
Unique wedding rings and jewellery with an organic edge. I love the rugged beauty of precious metals so my work is all about texture! I use recycled materials and gift packaging wherever possible including professionally recycled silver and gold.
A note on ring sizing:
I am happy to resize rings as I appreciate it is more difficult buying rings online. It is usually best if you are measured at a jewellers or use a ring sizer for more accurate results. Have a look at my FAQ for more information.

Follow Firewhite on Facebook, Instagram (@firewhitejewellery) and Twitter (@firewhiteuk) for a peek behind the scenes in my workshop.
*Please note* all of my items are handmade to order, so please allow me time to make them. If you need something for a specific date just let me know and I'll do my best to help. My policies and FAQ pages will give you more information so be sure to read before buying.
Hallmarks
Gold items will be hallmarked by the Edinburgh Assay Office as a guarantee of gold quality and purity. I send each piece to be independently tested and stamped to authenticate the type of metal. They will also have a small maker's mark on the inside/back to show they came from a registered goldsmith (that's me!)
Hallmarking takes about an extra week on top of my time to make your item(s). Silver items are not hallmarked as standard but you can add this as an extra.
International Shipping
Due to custom rules I am not currently shipping to the EU or Australia, sorry for any inconvenience. Some other countries do not allow precious metals through customs so please check this before you order. I regularly ship to Canada and the US with no issues.

Frequently asked questions
What if my ring doesn't fit?
I appreciate that buying rings without trying them on can be tricky so I am happy to resize. Please get in touch to arrange so that I know you are sending it back. Bear in mind that it might not be possible to increase some rings more than one size so it is better to order a little bigger if you are unsure. I can decrease any number of sizes.
If you are not sure of your size the best method is getting measured at a jewellery shop or you can buy ring sizers in my shop to use at home. I have found that measuring yourself with string or paper doesn't produce great results so I wouldn't recommend this method.
Ring size scales vary by country so I will make rings to the system you were measured in.
My wedding is soon, can you make a rush order?
I can often schedule my workload to have rings ready sooner than my usual working times. I can arrange for gold items to be priority hallmarked for an extra fee. Please contact me with your date and I will let you know what I can do.
What kind of textures do you make?
I make a variety of textures and shapes for rings so I have written a summary below. I always start by making a plain ring band and finish them individually by hand so each is unique. If you use the shop search using these terms you will find each type. Please remember that the surface of any silver or gold ring will gradually wear smoother over time.
Distressed
I use natural stones to imprint organic patterns.
Hammered
A heavy hammer creates a range of flat angular facets with a slightly ridged texture and some irregular notches.
Tree Bark
Thin vertical lines... like a tree!
Can I have my ring engraved?
Sorry but I am not doing any ring engraving. You can easily add an engraving once you have your ring as many jewellers and hardware shops offer this service.
Is there any nickel in the metals used?
All of the metals I work with are free from nickel but please let me know if you have a nickel allergy so I can make sure the other products I use are suitable.
Do you plate white gold?
The 18 carat gold I use is an alloy of gold, palladium and silver. The palladium gives it a grey tone which I think makes it really unique! I don't plate any white gold to make it whiter as I prefer the grey tone this also means the colour will always be the same rather than wearing off over time.
What metals are available?
I can work in:
Sterling silver
9 carat white, rose and yellow gold
14 carat yellow gold
18 carat white, rose and yellow gold
The colours I use may vary from those you have seen before as each alloy can have different 'ingredients' and proportions. My 18 carat white gold is not plated so it has a lovely warm grey tone. The rose gold I use is actually more pink in the 9 carat version while the 18 carat is closer to gold with a blush tint.
When you look through the ring options in my shop you will see some of the combinations and variations I make. The options you can combine to make your rings are:
metal
texture
width
